DIY idea for your interior: Sliding doors

This would me a great solution for the open space between our living room and the hallway. Especially in winter time I miss a door here. But it 's a rental apartment and I don't know for how long we will be living here... Maybe a good idea for our next home.

But if you considering to make your own sliding door check this great DIY guide by dutch interior magazine 101 Woonideeen, Good luck! It's in dutch but you probably get the idea.

Styling idea: decorative plates

A great styling idea is to create a composition of different plates, like these examples.

It's an easy way to create a personal creative wall.... You can make your own plates from papier mâché, update flea market finds with fluor washi tape or just choose only blue ones for your collection

A FRAME way to decorate

For his book 'Where they create' photographer Paul Barbera made these pictures of the office of Frame magazine. I think it's a great and easy way to expose all your favorite magazines... Or you can decorate your wall with your all time favorite records.

Great IKEA DIY project

What a great idea and inexpensive way to create industrial lightning in the color you want with a tight budget! I found this idea at the website of Ikea livet Hemma. I can use this for a project I'm working on and where we have to be creative with the budget so this is a welcome idea!

Moodboard for my DIY project for this weekend

Maybe it is because it's almost spring but I really want to change something in my interior. As you may know I love the colour grey because it forms a perfect base and all the things you put in front or on top of it come out so beautiful. That's why I'm going to paint this cupboard in dark grey, it has been white long enough. Here is my inspiration mood board and below the cupboard as it is now....

Sometimes I really miss doing creative things, just for myself. But but I enjoyed working on my latest DIY project so much that I'm planning to create much more beautiful things for my home, you can see this post here

Nice DIY project: Wall of frames.

Nice DIY project. A very easy way to show your beautiful pictures of your loved ones or what inspires you. Buy lots of frames at Ikea, for example, put them together with double-faced tape.

A little inspiration for the weekend: american photographers home

On the new website of VT Wonen I saw this picture and I was intrigued by the picture of the beach. I think it's a fresh touch in this room with all the neutrals, nice combination. This house belongs to photographer Tosca Radigonda and her family  located in Austin, Texas.  You see a lot of her work in the interior that will give you nice DIY ideas to place photographs and art in the room and combine them with accessories, that will make the whole interior even stronger

DIY project for the weekend, new fabric on a vintage stool

A few years ago I bought this stool with green fake leather for €15,- and I had the idea to cover it with a Ikat fabric for a while now. Then I found this old scarf and thought it could be a great match. Here is the result and how it looked before.

A little inspiration for the weekend: Bedtime story

Yesterday we made a new bed, i'll show you pictures later and now I'm thinking of a new head for the bed. Here some inspiration that I found. I think I'll make something like the third picture because it will suit the rough pallet bed.

DIY project for the weekend

This weekend we're making a new bed of a pallet that is standing in the way in the hallway for ages. I will post the result later. This is the inspiration, the funny thing is I have grey sheets as well, so I hope it will look the same.

Personal touch

I think it's a great idea to put your favourite poem or quote on the wall, it gives your interior a personal touch! The first picture is the wall at Picknick in Rotterdam where it is extra special because they put the characters on the wallpaper.  I love the next picture aswell, because it will remind 

you everyday of the things that are important 

to you!
