My favorite finds @ Elle inside design

Afgelopen vrijdag was ik op ijburg voor Elle inside design.
Hier een overzicht van wat ik bijzonder vond, in willekeurige volgorde.

1. //Barrel Lamp

Design: Nieuwe Heren / New Duivendrecht

Nieuw Duivendrecht is de nieuwste producent van eigentijds Nederlands design van jonge talenten. Hun doel is om producten te produceren van hoge kwaliteit, die zowel innovatief als duurzaam zijn.

2. // Chris Slutter

Over het het werk van Chris Slutter heb ik al eerder geschreven. Maar ook nu zag het er weer smaakvol uit, goed gepresenteerd met mooie styling!

3. //Table field

Design: Frederik Roijé

De rijstvelden op Bali inspireerden Frederik Roijé met deze tafel als resultaat.

4. //Canvas collage series

Design: Brunklaus Amsterdam

Deze collectie is een reïnterpretatie van de traditionele quilt met de patchwork techniek. 

Ik ben erg gecharmeerd van het werk van Nicolette Brunklaus en zal binnenkort meer van haar werk laten zien.

5. //Oturakast

Design: Rianne Koens

Prachtig dit kastje bestaande uit laatjes die omhuld zijn met leer in zachte kleuren. De lades hebben pootjes die je kunt uitklappen waardoor het een krukje wordt voor gasten.

My favorite finds @ Elle inside design

Last friday I went to Elle inside design, a design fair in Amsterdam.
Here an overview of my favorites.

1. //Barrel Lamp

Design: Nieuwe Heren / New Duivendrecht

Nieuw Duivendrecht is the newest manufacturer of contemporary dutch design from the Netherlands.

Their main goal is to make products of high quality, that are both sustainable and innovative.

2. // Chris Slutter

I wrote about the work of Chris Slutter before. But now again it looked very tasteful, well presented en beautiful styling.

3. //Table field

Design: Frederik Roijé

Frederik Roijé was inspired by the rice fields of Bali and he translated this in this table.

4. //Canvas collage series

Design: Brunklaus Amsterdam

This collection is a reinterpretation of the tradional quilt and patchwork technique.

I love the work of Nicolette Brunklaus and soon I will show more of her work.

5. //Oturakast

Design: Rianne Koens

Beautiful cabinet consisting of a stack of drawers covered with soft leather. The drawers have legs which fold out, turning them into stools for guests.

Funny decorative art by Fleur Goedendorp

I saw this handmade word for the first time at home of a friend and I really liked it. It's so cheerful. It's for at the lovely shop Restored in Amsterdam.
The designer, Fleur Goedendorp, get's inspired by materials, rhythms and construction that result in her words that can be worn as jewelry or as decorative art in an interior.

Times are changing

I've been busy with the start of my own company Studio Nest. That's why I haven't been blogging lately, but that's going to change. I will let you know when my website is finished but for now you can see what I've been doing here, on Facebook or via Twitter.

Last week we threw a party and got this jug from a good friend. I love the form so much and it looks really pretty as a vase as well.  It's from the table ware collection of Piet Hein Eek called DIK (what means fat in dutch) and it's made in Thailand & faitrade.

Steel cabinets by JSPR

I'm really into steel cabinets lately. I love that you can make composition of your favorite things within a frame. This modern handmade interpretation by JSPR is just amazing! How the forms are attached to another it becomes a cabinet skyscraper…

Definitely a piece on my wish list.

Inspirational craft by Claudy Jongstra

Busy times lately, that's why I have been I bit silent....  I also went to London with my colleagues to visit inspirational food concepts, I will post about this trip later.
I wanted to post somthing about Claudy Jongstra for a long time because I love her felt work for years. Last year I went to a lecture where she told about how they work at the studio. It was really inspiring what she told about the dyeing process with the natural pigments that she grows mostly on her own farm.
The blue work is for the exhibition at the United Nations in New York that was held in february.

Playful dutch interior

I like this playful interior of eatbar "DIT" , as they call it in dutch, in 's Hertogenbosch in The Netherlands. Don't you like the furniture? The furniture is designed by Roderick Vos and, one of the most inventive dutch designers in my opinion. Love the wall lightning and Bonsai Candleholders  of dutch brand Functionals!

Room with a view

When you visit the gallery of my friend Christian in Rotterdam you get really inspired by all the beautiful furniture, design, art and books. He only sells things he likes and I think he has a great eye for beautiful things. It's a must see when you visit Rotterdam. I really like the colored squares on the wall, nice DIY idea.

Piet Boon

I used to work for Baden Baden, the former shop of Piet Boon when I just moved to Amsterdam. I learned a lot from my colleagues and from then I new I wanted to become a interior designer. An example of a project I worked on were the bathrooms of a Villa at the seaside in the Netherlands (last 2 pictures) Here are a few of my favorite designs of his design studio.

Inspiring styling & brand

I really like the styling and interior of this article in a magazine of the dutch brand Montis. All the furniture and accessories are mentioned in the right corner. I love the concrete wall and shelf.

The leather pouf is a design of Studio Job for Montis. This picture was used in "Style Guide Home 2009" a magazine of perscentrum wonen and Rianne Landstra was responsible for the styling of this article.

lovely cupboards

I'm a real fan of the vision and Totem collection of the dutch brand Pastoe. It's functional and beautiful as well. Especially the Totem is like a sculpture in your interior.
