Collectables at Flavourites live

My company, Studio Nest was asked to do the styling of six theme tables at Flavourites live. This is a fair where the webshops of flavourites.nl present themselves in real life to their target group. The webshops were invited to send in products that suit the themes and Studio Nest made the selection to create a complete image.

The themes of Collectables are Handmade, Nature, Birds, Classic, Yellow and Urban.

DIY in black

I bought this lamp on Marktplaats (dutch ebay) for €10,- and it was white, but the base was made of plastic in stead of metal and didn't look good. So my boyfriend and I spray painted it with several layers and, I'm so happy with it. My workplace is almost finished now.

My recent project: A restaurant makeover

We had to create a new restaurant with a tight budget (no budget to buy new chairs), quite a challenge. The owners are very happy with the result. And the best thing is, busy times are back again and that was the goal of this new concept and big change.

The interior moodboard

The restaurant is situated in an old doctors house and the restaurant is spread over several rooms that each have there own color scheme.

 

In the attic the owners will create a room where people can smoke, pour their own drinks and play their favorite records. This is the inspiration moldboard.

Restaurant Diverso

This is the ocean colored room with yellow accents in the photo collages I made. This room is connected to the yellow room.

I created these collages with inspiring images that remind me of a warm south european summer. It's to create an atmosphere that's more then just good food. We printed them on large canvases

I've made so many moodboards lately. I really love doing this, it's like making a puzzle and at some point you've got it and you feel it's just right, great feeling! Made this inspiration for a coffee corner.

I've been very busy with my two first freelance projects lately and will show you a bit of my hard work here. It's one of the moodboards I made for a restaurant restaurant.

Get inspired

This is definitely the most colorful room I ever designed. During a meeting you can write your great ideas on the pink walls or hang your paper sheets, so you don't need ugly whiteboards... I used vintage chairs from project 99

Vote for our design

Recently my boyfriend and I joined a design contest here in Amsterdam. The assignment was to design an apartment with the intention of actually buying or renting it later.
