Wat een inspirerend appartement....

De eclectische stijl, de vintage meubels en ongedwongen sfeer spreken me aan. Het ziet er niet zo bedacht uit maar als een interieur dat zo ontstaan is in de loop der tijd met allerlei mooie vondsten van reizen.

Het juiste materiaal & kleur gebruik en het oog voor detail maken het tot een uitnodigend interieur.

What an inspiring apartment.
The eclectic style, the vintage furniture and the natural atmosphere is what I like. It doesn't look over designed but like an interior that has developed over time with all kind of treasures from exotic trips.

The right color & materials, the eye for detail make it an inviting interior.

Pup up wine bar: 32 days 41 wines.

Thursday we went to the Pop Up Winebar in Amsterdam. Cool interior, it's like a home, with a bedroom where you can smoke, really funny idea. Relaxed atmosphere. I loved the vintage interior with the brick wall.

I found these nice pictures on the website of the Australian magazine Inside out, great combinations of vintage and new things to get the right look! Industrial but not cold...
 It seems like a great magazine to me, but unfortunately I haven't seen it anywhere in Amsterdam or at the airport. Luckily they have such a great website and blog to see the highlights....

Surprising spaces

I'm not really into children's rooms (maybe because I don't have one :-). But that's what I like about these spaces, they don't look like the stereotype children's room and it looks really friendly and inviting, but not so childish....
I love the use of colour combined with the wood and what a lovely vintage chair!
Funny detail, I bought the exact same rabbit lamp for one of our meeting rooms at the office, it's almost finished and I will post pictures when it's done...

Inspiring Swedish vintage interior

This is the house of swedish interior designer Marie Olsson NylanAgaind. Again a beautiful white and light base with a lot of vintage and ethnic furniture and art, what makes it a very personal and characteristic home. All the items come out so well on the white floor and  I think the light is so bright because they live at the seaside, they are so lucky :-)

Affordable vintage chairs

For a new meeting room at our office I ordered 6 different vintage chairs from Project 99. I like them so much and i'm thinking of covering one of my own vintage chairs by them. Project 99 is a collection of designer furniture, made from refurbished furniture frames which are reupholstered with cow-hide or vintage wallpaper. Each piece is custom made and unique, numbered and signed individually. All chairs and stools are priced 99 euro. Project 99 is on display at Herengracht 560-2 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Room 606: the vintage room

Room 606 of the The Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Copenhagen, features the original Arne Jacobsen décor from the 1960s. At first I thought it was an ode to Jacobsen, but then I found out he designed it himself. He used a beautiful color combination of grey, blue-green colors and wengé wood.  I think it's great they kept the room in the state Jacobsen designed it over 50 years ago. It's a timeless design, just like his furniture.
