Great IKEA DIY project

What a great idea and inexpensive way to create industrial lightning in the color you want with a tight budget! I found this idea at the website of Ikea livet Hemma. I can use this for a project I'm working on and where we have to be creative with the budget so this is a welcome idea!

I ♥ this tree table

I fell in love with this table from the moment I met him.... They produce it in the size you want, very handy, but it is quite expensive. I hope I can use in a design one day. The table is available at Satelliet

Today I ♥ this Swedish home

I love this house designed by Swedish architect 'In praise of shadows' because of the high ceiling and the large windows.... keep on dreaming!

Ikea limited edition

I red about this limited edition collection by IKEA at the website of 101 Woonideeen and I am very enthusiastic about it. This collection was designed and produced within a few months, much faster then the 2 years it takes normally. The designers went to India and Vietnam and there the worked together with local craftsmen to create the collection. My personal favourite is the Albacken chair becuase it reminds me of the garden furniture my grandmother used to have at her patio.

Today I ♥ a holiday home in the UK

This renovated barn was on the cover of Elle deco Italy last month and the white painted brick walls attracted my attention. It's great inspiration for a project were I'm working on right now.
When you take a closer look you see one wall is covered with white wash wood what adds warmth to do hard materials of the base. The combination of the clean and light base work well with the scandinavian furniture. I love the black large steel window frames, that's one my wishlist for me dreamhouse....

Today I ♥ a room in Saint-Tropez

French designer Christophe Pillet created the interiors of the Hotel Sezz in Saint-Tropez in France.
The combination in this design of dark wood, a lot of white, a touch of bright color and the round walls form an exciting design and a real inspiration!

Inspirational craft by Claudy Jongstra

Busy times lately, that's why I have been I bit silent....  I also went to London with my colleagues to visit inspirational food concepts, I will post about this trip later.
I wanted to post somthing about Claudy Jongstra for a long time because I love her felt work for years. Last year I went to a lecture where she told about how they work at the studio. It was really inspiring what she told about the dyeing process with the natural pigments that she grows mostly on her own farm.
The blue work is for the exhibition at the United Nations in New York that was held in february.

Danish home of art lovers

I think these home owners have an excellent taste of art! Love the painting above the sofa, it is a piece made by Anne Tholstrup. It's really worth it to see more of her work.

The king's speech

In Living etc. magazine I red about this wall of Dr. Logue's office and how Eve Stewart (and probably her team), the production designer of "The king's speech" created this wall. It was an endless process of layering paint, lacquer and old bits of paper. The wall is a piece of art, so beautiful, like the movie itself. The Picture below, done by stylist, Glen Proebstel made me think of the wall, a great inspiration as well.

Home of VT Wonen stylist Cleo Scheulderman

VT Wonen Stylist Cleo has a great style and you can see that in her own apartment. I think it's a pity Elle Decoration printed this article in grey, because I'm curious what the color palette looks like. Guess what? I found the Pictures in color at House of pictures, see below much much better :-) The beautiful palette of neutrals and lots of grey.
