A little inspiration for the weekend: Swedish style

Swedish interior stylist Lotta Agaton has definitely a great eye for graphic artwork and typography which makes an interior much more intriguing and exciting to me. Her use of color and the light spaces combined with vintage and characters and symbols makes that I'm really in to her style.

Home of a VT Wonen stylist

VT Wonen stylist Marianne Luning is not afraid to use black and white in her apartment, it seems more like her mantra. When I saw these pictures a few years ago it inspired me to add more black to my mostly white and grey interior. It makes it less predictable and safe. I love her salon table a lot and someday I will make one myself, but probably with bigger wheels for a industrial look and right proportion.

Ocui – Open Cuisine, Munich

In my opinion this restaurant in Munich is a great design because the kitchen and bar form the central point in the space and everything happens around this midpoint. The first picture looks a bit grey but when you take a closer look on the next pics, you see they used leather stools and a soft pink fabric to give the interior warmth. This combination makes that the interior is balanced and looks inviting and fresh. Nice detail is that they used old fashioned white tiles, this adds more character to the interior. This restaurant is designed by Archibrand

Inspiring Swedish vintage interior

This is the house of swedish interior designer Marie Olsson NylanAgaind. Again a beautiful white and light base with a lot of vintage and ethnic furniture and art, what makes it a very personal and characteristic home. All the items come out so well on the white floor and  I think the light is so bright because they live at the seaside, they are so lucky :-)

I love GREY!

Oh when I look at these pictures I immediately want to start painting lots of things dark grey in my apartment. It works so well with the white washed floor (like I have) and with the would or cognac colored leather. I'm thinking of painting a part of the wall, between 2 doors, dark grey, but I think I will make a drawing first. Or I just paint my white cabinet in a matted grey...

A little inspiration for the weekend: White & light

This house feels like spring to me with all the white & light, lovely. Nice DIY project are the white drawers with the wooden parts on top of it. It's easy to accomplish this with IKEA drawers of the BESTA series.
