Wall of flame - Frederik Roijé

Merci Paris

We've been to Paris for a few days and I've been to Merci twice. What a wonderful shop, I love their style! After christmas they were changing the store with a lot of letters. This is a trend you see for years now but at Merci it was new and a bit more exciting because of the fresh combinations, don't you think? I will post more about Paris later.

Ikea limited edition

I red about this limited edition collection by IKEA at the website of 101 Woonideeen and I am very enthusiastic about it. This collection was designed and produced within a few months, much faster then the 2 years it takes normally. The designers went to India and Vietnam and there the worked together with local craftsmen to create the collection. My personal favourite is the Albacken chair becuase it reminds me of the garden furniture my grandmother used to have at her patio.

A beautiful shop that makes you smile

I came by the shop Sukha several times, but always when I didn't have time, and that was hard because it looked so inviting to me. A few days agoI went in and they have so many things that made me smile! It's a mix of vintage and new, books, furniture, accessories and clothes (lovely brands like Antik Batik and Humanoid). All chosen with great eye for detail and beauty! The space itself is really basic and light so everything comes out very well!
Nice to know is that the name of the  shop means "Joy of life" in Sanskrit.

Let there be light

I really like the industrial look of this space and of course the natural light that makes this gallery so spacious. These ingredients form ideal setting for showcasing both the furniture collections and the ultra-modern space.

Affordable vintage chairs

For a new meeting room at our office I ordered 6 different vintage chairs from Project 99. I like them so much and i'm thinking of covering one of my own vintage chairs by them. Project 99 is a collection of designer furniture, made from refurbished furniture frames which are reupholstered with cow-hide or vintage wallpaper. Each piece is custom made and unique, numbered and signed individually. All chairs and stools are priced 99 euro. Project 99 is on display at Herengracht 560-2 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands
I'll show you pictures of the meeting room when it is finished.

Camper shop, Paris

This is the third time Tokujin Yoshioka designs for Camper, and the shop that recently opened in Paris is a space inspired by the loveliness of a landscape in full bloom. Beautiful!

Neri&Hu design and research office

The "solo chair" was designed for the Waterhouse hotel in Shanghai. I really like it's timeless design. Unfortunately I don't know yet where you can order it in the Netherlands. I would to use it in a project.

Sitables, solid walnut with high golss piano paint finish. They sell them at Moooi gallery in Amsterdam.
