New York, New York.... Ace hotel

Some time ago I saw this nice boutique hotel, the Ace Hotel,  Food Inspiration Magazine, of my colleagues and I thought, that's the hotel I want to stay when I will finally go to New York. The founders of the hotel used work of local artists and designers for the interior. I like the industrial feeling of the building and the use of vintage. Funny detail is there is a record player in every room. They have an oyster bar as well downstairs, nice :-)

A little inspiration for the weekend: american photographers home

On the new website of VT Wonen I saw this picture and I was intrigued by the picture of the beach. I think it's a fresh touch in this room with all the neutrals, nice combination. This house belongs to photographer Tosca Radigonda and her family  located in Austin, Texas.  You see a lot of her work in the interior that will give you nice DIY ideas to place photographs and art in the room and combine them with accessories, that will make the whole interior even stronger

Check out Ronda's website to see more of her work.

Amsterdam interior

As you may have noticed I'm really into graphic design and inspiring quotes in interiors. That 's one thing I love about this home. It is a great inspiration because of, for example the nice and simple solution of the white shelves to display beautiful and personal things. Another thing that strikes me is that they didn't choose a white kitchen, as you see so often, but a high gloss beige one instead and put a cool bicycle on top of it for the finishing touch with a little bit of humor, I like it! It's definitely an edgy, cool and personal interior at the same time.

Funny rugs and poufs, designed by Patricia Urquiola

Mangas meens sleeve in Spanish and these poufs and rugs are named after that part of clothing. They are designed by one of my favorite designers Patricia Urquiola. I like the combination of different textures and colors. I'm especially charmed by the poufs because they can add a bit of humor to your interior to spice it up!
