Living blue
The theme of the Histor house during the Elle inside design was light, air and space. Everything was painted in different colors of blue and turquoise. I love blue a lot, in fashion as well, it so easy to combine. Blue is my black.

Raw graphic
During my search for graphic inspiration I found the work of Jesse Harris. It's a corporate identity for a fishmonger where the designer combines illustration work with his love for packaging design and innovative branding. I love the simplicity. It's very clear and with a touch of vintage because of the brown paper. Very beautiful.

Color inspiration
Autumn is almost there, the last sunny days and then all the colors will change.
I think this color pallet translates this autumn feeling perfectly, don't you think?

My recent project: A restaurant makeover
We had to create a new restaurant with a tight budget (no budget to buy new chairs), quite a challenge. The owners are very happy with the result. And the best thing is, busy times are back again and that was the goal of this new concept and big change.
The inspiration moodboard for the new mediterranean concept
The interior moodboard
The restaurant is situated in an old doctors house and the restaurant is spread over several rooms that each have there own color scheme.

In the attic the owners will create a room where people can smoke, pour their own drinks and play their favorite records. This is the inspiration moldboard.

Restaurant Diverso
This is the ocean colored room with yellow accents in the photo collages I made. This room is connected to the yellow room.
I created these collages with inspiring images that remind me of a warm south european summer. It's to create an atmosphere that's more then just good food. We printed them on large canvases

A surprising end of our trip in Jakarta
We traveled the last weeks trough Indonesia and we planned to end the trip in a beautiful resort in the tea fields near Lembang, but that turned out to be a disaster so we catched a train and went to the Morrissey hotel in Jakarta, and it turned out to be a great place! The interior design of the room was nice and spacious with black industrial lightning, a white painted brick wall and a concrete ceiling! It was lovely to end the trip in a stylish hotel with a good and clean bathroom. The lobby and study were great to, industrial with a touch of vintage, my cup of tea! And a morning swim in the rooftop pool was a great way to start our last day.

Moodboards, Moodboards & Moodboards
I've made so many moodboards lately. I really love doing this, it's like making a puzzle and at some point you've got it and you feel it's just right, great feeling! Made this inspiration for a coffee corner.

Inwards and Onwards
Last friday I went to the exhibition of Anton Corbijn in FOAM in Amsterdam. The work that is shown are pictures Corbijn made of artists he admires.
I met him once in the interior shop I was working and told him I liked the picture he made of our queen because of the composition and color, so he thanked me. That was such a big thing for me at that time that I had the guts to compliment him and it felt so good!
Here are a few of the pieces that are shown at FOAM
