Funny decorative art by Fleur Goedendorp
I saw this handmade word for the first time at home of a friend and I really liked it. It's so cheerful. It's for at the lovely shop Restored in Amsterdam.
The designer, Fleur Goedendorp, get's inspired by materials, rhythms and construction that result in her words that can be worn as jewelry or as decorative art in an interior.

Inspiring designer: Paola Navone
Visiting the fair Maison&Objet this weekend reminded me of what a wonderful and inspiring designer Paola Navone is. I met her once when I organized lectures at the Woonbeurs and I had to announce her, very exciting. She was very friendly and one of a kind.
I love the series she designed for Richard Ginori, the reinterpreted 1000kg of porcelain, that was for sale at Merci in 2009.
Below an interview from the Australian Inside Out Magazine with Paola Navone

Color Inpiration: The blues
What a nice example of how dark blue can work beautifully in an interior, it gives the space intimacy. I would prefer more wood in combination with the blue to add a bit more contrast.

Styling with HEMA & VT wonen
Love these pictures, they were shown in VT Wonen magazine, a colaboration with HEMA. Unfortunately not all the accessories are for sale yet, like the little stool you see in the left, so I can't wait.

Color inspiration
Again a beautiful example how Art can be integrated in your interior. Don't you love the use of color in these images? I use these images often in my inspiration moodboards.

Tel-Aviv Restaurant with a cool industrial interior
This industrial style, that's what I like! The concrete covered walls with turkish rugs, tables made by Piet Hein Eek, one of my favorite chairs the Revolt chair designed by Friso Kramer (We have them at home, very comfortable chairs) together with the industrial lightning! I've said enough, just take a look.

Paris, part deux
First of all I want to wish you all a happy and healthy new year full of inspiration!
My trip to Paris gave me a lot of new ideas and inspiration. When I came home I immediately saw what I needed to change in our interior.
I love what traveling does to your mind and soul.
To stay is not the same as coming back....

Merci Paris
We've been to Paris for a few days and I've been to Merci twice. What a wonderful shop, I love their style! After christmas they were changing the store with a lot of letters. This is a trend you see for years now but at Merci it was new and a bit more exciting because of the fresh combinations, don't you think? I will post more about Paris later.

Tommy Hilfiger ‘Peoples Place’
You can't find a logo in this restaurant where the people of Tommy Hilfiger have lunch.
I think it is special that a brand doesn't express who they are with a logo but with feeling and atmosphere. Nice place to have lunch if you work for Tommy Hilfiger in Amsterdam.

Fisherman's lights by Mattias Ståhlbom
I like these fisherman's lights designed by Mattias Ståhlbom. Glass fishing floats were once used by fishermen in many parts of the world to keep their nets afloat. We saw these lights this summer at a beach of Lombok at night and we saw the fisherman go into the water, what was a beautiful view.

We always have Paris
I'm so lucky, I will go to Paris twice soon. We go 4 days with christmas to relax, enjoy nice food, walk through the city and see inspiring concepts and shops! I go again with a friend to go to maison et objet to get more inspiration. Both times I will stay at Mama Shelter, looking forward to it so much...
What's your favorite place in Paris I should visit?

Caravaggio matt from Lightyears
What a nice surprise that the Caravaggio pendant light is available in matt colors. It looks like concrete and in white like porcelain. So beautiful and a nice example what material can do. In my opinion the form becomes more elegant. Definitely on my wishlist to use it in a project.
